2. Environmental Health and Safety Management Systems

Following initial appraisal, presentation of services and quotation we hope that you will decide on EHSS(EE) as your selected partner for developing your management systems and personnel.

As you know, and we understand, every business is unique and every project has its individual requirements, issues and solutions, and our first task on appointment is for the assigned project director to present to you for agreement the detailed planning of our joint campaign to improvement, this is usually prepared in MS Project Format.

Planning is an essential element that is often overlooked by EHSS consultancies, and plans once agreed with the Management responsible will ensure that the system development and implementation logic, are fully supported within the organisation and the available resources are used to best effect.

In developing our strategic plans we take into account the following elements:

  • Identified applicable EHS legislation
  • Business processes and process technologies
  • Management, supervisory and EHS practitioner competencies
  • Recognised international best practices and benchmarks
  • Optimum implementation logic
  • Training needs analysis


Many companies even with the best intentions do not achieve their maximum potential entirely because the implementation logic has been flawed. We focus on ensuring that the organisation is given first of all the tools, techniques and communication paths to manage and implement environment health and safety systems at all levels, so ensuring that the whole organisation is able to contribute to the improvement processes.

As the culture in the organisation is developed, and personnel equipped with the required competencies, the elimination of the conditions and behaviours that contribute to accidents, incidents and non-compliance's are rapidly changed from a reactive mode to a proactive one, bringing the attendant benefits that are both highly visible and enduring, the visibility of the improvements motivating further effort towards excellence.

Once these cultural pre-cursors to excellence have been established and are being adequately supported the specific risk reduction methodologies and procedures associated with individual process and business risks are relatively straightforward to determine and manage.
